Origin: An awakening about “reality”
In a small studio, jewelry designer Sophia Mei stares at the faded gold-plated necklace in her hand – the only relic left to her by her grandmother.
“Why are beautiful things always short-lived?” she asked herself.
Traditional pure gold jewelry is expensive and fragile, and cheap gold-plated jewelry quickly becomes mottled. People have to compromise between “luxury” and “reality”.
“True luxury should not be kidnapped by time.”
In 2008, SPMEI was born – the name comes from the abbreviation of “Sophia Mei”, and also implies “Special Metal Elegance Immortal”.

Core concept: natural beauty × industrial aesthetics
We believe that jewelry is “the second skin of the wearer”.
SPMEI draws inspiration from minimalist nature and future industry:

• Material revolution:
  Titanium steel (316L stainless steel) and 18K real gold plating are used, and after 24 hours of precision electroplating and vacuum ion reinforcement, the light can resist the erosion of time.
• Design philosophy:
  Abandoning complicated carvings, geometric lines are used to reshape the arc of morning dew, the fission of aurora, and the edges of glaciers.
